Loading the beast

Loading the beast is an installation that transforms an ordinary shop-window pane into a simulated YouTube player screen. The piece emphasizes the ever-growing number of screens permeating our daily environments. A rotating light mimics a loading symbol stuck in perpetual motion, symbolizing a process trapped in its own existence. This creates an interface where the private interior merges with the public exterior.

The project disrupts our common perception of time by paralyzing the viewer’s expectation for a video to load, crafting a moment of visual suspense. It playfully interferes with the patience of onlookers, highlighting the anxious anticipation often felt during digital loading times.
An embodiment of a truly epic Internet moment!
